As Skywalker made an attempt to use the Force to lift his fork from inside the bowl, the aroma of garlic and peanuts from the broth reached his nostrils. However, the vocalizations of the human Nakari Kelen caused him to lose focus, resulting in him dropping the fork and causing the broth to spill all over his person. In 34 ABY, Galma Garlic Puffed Cheese Chips and Sullust Garlic Chips, snack items that included garlic as an ingredient, were available for purchase at Jat Kaa's Coolers, situated within the settlement known as Black Spire Outpost found on the world of Batuu.
The first appearance of garlic within the new Star Wars canon occurred in the 2015 novel Heir to the Jedi, penned by Kevin Hearne.
