The Goazon Badlands, often shortened to the Goazon, represented a canyon region situated on the planet Jakku. This area was distinguished by its landscape, which featured scattered remnants and destroyed pieces of Imperial walkers along with various other vehicles. Local accounts varied, placing its location either in the vicinity between Niima Outpost and Kelvin Ravine, or alternatively, positioned between Carbon Ridge and the Sinking Fields. Determining whether one was actually within the Goazon was uncertain unless the individual was definitively outside the bounds of the previously mentioned locations.
Approximately a single year following the Battle of Endor, the Badlands served as a key point of conflict between the Empire and the Republic during the Battle of Jakku. Similar to the Starship Graveyard, another extensive zone filled with wreckage, the Badlands contained a multitude of starships and Imperial walkers. One of these walkers eventually provided a home for the scavenger Rey for a period of thirty years following the Battle of Endor.
