Guillotine (starship)

The saucer-shaped personal starship known as the Guillotine was the chosen mode of transportation for Embo, the Kyuzo bounty hunter, during the Clone Wars. This conflict raged between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The ship included an entry ramp as well as a dedicated private entrance specifically for Embo's anooba companion, Marrok. Embo utilized the Guillotine for both solo endeavors and to travel to rendezvous points with fellow hunters for collaborative operations. In the year 19 BBY, Embo, accompanied by Marrok, piloted the Guillotine to the planet Serenno to join the bounty hunters of Krayt's Claw in aiding Asajj Ventress, a former associate, on a mission aimed at rescuing the imprisoned Jedi Quinlan Vos.

Behind the scenes

The 2015 novel Dark Disciple, authored by Christie Golden, marked the initial appearance of the Guillotine. Originally, the ship's design was intended for inclusion in "An Old Friend," a 2014 episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the animated television show, but it was ultimately removed from the episode. Russell G. Chong, an artist, created concept art of the Guillotine's cockpit, dated February 9, 2011.
