Iazacal farm

Iazacal farms were a specific type of farm located in the Badlands region of the Outer Rim planet E'ronoh. These farms cultivated iazacal trees, a tree whose name was also used for iazacal liquor, an alcoholic drink produced on that world. During the time of the High Republic Era, the primary occupation of E'roni inhabitants of the farming village of A'ranni was tending to these iazacal farms. However, the farms' productivity ceased after war started between E'ronoh and Eiram, another Outer Rim planet, in 387 BBY, coinciding with a period of drought.

In the year 382 BBY, Princess Xiri A'lbaran, an E'roni royal, presented a hologram depicting the area surrounding A'ranni to her companions, who included Jedi Knight Gella Nattai, Republic envoy Axel Greylark, and Eirami Prince Phan-tu Zenn. She explained that the landscape was largely composed of iazacal farms. Later, as their sail barge, known as the Amaryliss, neared the village to deliver rations and other forms of assistance, the group observed that the iazacal trees in A'ranni's groves were withered and devoid of life.
