Imperial Station 003

Imperial Station 003, alternatively called the Orbital Space, functioned as a space station in orbit around Coruscant, the planet serving as the capital of the Galactic Empire. Resembling a larger version of an ICM-092792 construction module in its design, this station included numerous hangar bays and possessed the capability to accommodate up to eight Venator-class Star Destroyers using external docking arms.

During 18 BBY, the station was protected by a contingent of clone commandos alongside TK stormtroopers. Its purpose involved gathering Force-sensitive children who had been captured throughout the galaxy by specific class one bounty hunters. These children were traded for a container filled with credits inside the station's hangars, after which they were transported to Tantiss Base, operated by the Advanced Science Division, for the purpose of experimentation. Furthermore, the station served as the next-to-last stop for vessels en route to Tantiss Base; the crew and cargo were examined before authorization was granted for departure. At this point, the coordinates were sent directly to the starships' navigation computer through a protected connection, enabling a hyperspace jump to Wayland without the crew becoming aware of its location. This was a security measure implemented by Chief Scientist Doctor Royce Hemlock to ensure the base remained hidden.
