ISB Attendant, also known as simply attendant, was a designation given to junior officers within the ranks of the Imperial Security Bureau. These individuals functioned as assistants to ISB Supervisors. Their commanding officers assigned them a range of duties, and some held specialized roles, such as Attendant Felzonis, who was stationed at the ISB datavault.
These ISB Attendants, or simply attendants, were officers of junior rank within the Imperial Security Bureau assigned to the Investigations department. They served on the staffs of ISB Supervisors. A unique aspect of their uniforms was the gray tunics and black breeches they wore, along with rank insignia plaques. These plaques displayed a row of two blue tiles, indicating a rank equivalent to lieutenant, and two code cylinders, one carried in each pocket. The uniform was completed with a black Imperial kepi and black gloves. Each Attendant reported to their assigned Supervisor, who in turn reported to Major Partagaz. Major Partagaz would lead meetings with the supervisors, and the attendants sometimes attended as well. The ISB Attendants performed their duties at the ISB Central Office on Coruscant, often working directly in the offices of their superiors.
During the Imperial Era, specifically in 5 BBY, Lieutenant Dedra Meero had a staff that included at least two attendants. Attendant Heert acted as her personal aide, aiding her in the examination of records and the search for intelligence. Attendant Corv played a role in summoning Syril Karn for questioning and later accompanied Meero on a trip to the planet of Ferrix. Lieutenant Blevin oversaw at least three attendants, who kept him informed about events that occurred while he was away on Ferrix. Felzonis held the position of an attendant who was responsible for manning the datavault located within the ISB Central Office. Following the heist that took place on Aldhani, Major Partagaz convened an emergency briefing in the conference chamber, summoning several ISB Attendants along with their ISB Supervisors. Supervisors such as Lonni Jung and Lagret each had a minimum of one attendant on their staff.
A deleted scene from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope features an officer dressed in a gray uniform with black trousers. This officer is seen running behind another officer who is wearing the standard white ISB uniform. The uniform of the first officer is consistent with the attire worn by ISB attendants.
