Jabba's casino was situated in the city of Mos Espa, which itself was located on the Outer Rim planet of Tatooine. As a component of his extensive operations, this casino was owned and operated by the notorious crime lord Jabba the Hutt. Sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, Rebel Alliance operatives Lando Calrissian and Lobot, accompanied by Calrissian's dying companion, traveled to Jabba's Palace on Tatooine. Their objective was to recover a droid that Calrissian had previously sold to Jabba, hoping to save his friend's life. To gain entrance to the palace, Calrissian impersonated a casino guard, while Lobot pretended to be a wounded dealer from the casino, claiming he needed medical attention from the palace's doctor after being bitten by a rock wart—a venomous creature. This deception proved successful, and the palace's TT-8L/Y7 gatekeeper droid granted them entry.
The 2020 Star Wars comic series mentioned Jabba's casino in its thirty-eighth issue. Charles Soule wrote the issue, and Marvel Comics published it on September 6, 2023.
