A male person, who was the Human Chandrilan Senator Mon Mothma of the Mothma family, procreated and had a Human son named Jobin. Jobin rose to the rank of corporal within the Alliance to Restore the Republic, an organization that Mothma herself had established. While he was stationed on the planet Hoth during 3 ABY, Jobin created a recorded message intended for Mothma. In this message, after learning of approaching Imperial All Terrain Armored Transport vehicles, he concluded by asking her to convey his best wishes to his male parent and his affection for Lieda Mothma, who was his sister. Jobin was later killed in action by military forces of the Galactic Empire during the Battle of Hoth. His message did not reach his mother until the time leading up to the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY.
Jobin's father received a mention within "Entrenched," a concise comic story authored by Alex Jaeger together with M. Zachary Sherman. Dark Horse Comics published the comic in the Star Wars Legends comic anthology Star Wars: Visionaries, which was released on April 2, 2005. In the Ask the Master section contained within the 82nd issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine, which began its distribution to subscribers starting on May 17, 2005, the author Pablo Hidalgo provided a response to a fan's inquiry concerning Mon Mothma's daughter, Lieda, and the identity of her father. Hidalgo acknowledged Jobin within his answer and noted that "Entrenched" did not furnish any details regarding the identity of either child's father.
The canon television show Andor presented Perrin Fertha as Mon Mothma's spouse and Leida Mothma's male parent in the fourth episode of the first season, entitled "Aldhani." This episode was initially broadcast on September 28, 2022. Given that Jobin's father was not established as either Mon Mothma's husband or Lieda's father, this article refrains from assuming that the character is a counterpart to Fertha.
