Kamka Lira, a female Bith born to musician parents, harbored a deep-seated love for creating handmade jewelry from her young years. Initially, she crafted accessories for her parents' band, Two Biths Walk into a Cantina. This led to requests from other performers who wanted her to be their stylist. Eventually, she became the proud owner of the Jewels of Bith establishment. This shop was located within Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu. There, she offered her own artistic creations as well as a curated collection of pieces from designers across the galaxy, catering to travelers of both limited and substantial means.

Born sometime between 24 BBY and 14 BBY, Kamka Lira was a unique female Bith. From a young age, she journeyed throughout the galaxy with her musician parents, whose band was known as Two Biths Walk into a Cantina, as they performed. Unlike many Bith who chose careers as musicians, scientists, or engineers, Lira was drawn to accessories and believed her parents needed style upgrades to enhance their performances. To this end, she designed hats, scarves, and other accessories, and as she matured, she began crafting jewelry to complement her parents' stage presence. Ultimately, other entertainers sought out Lira's expertise as their personal stylist, and she realized she had discovered her true passion.
By 34 ABY, Lira, then in her fifties, managed the Jewels of Bith store. This establishment was situated in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, a planet located in the Outer Rim. Within her store, she fashioned distinctive items using unusual materials such as gems, stones, rocks, shells, metals, and leather. She also frequently brought back interesting souvenirs from her travels to other planets, including a hand-picked selection of pieces by other designers from across the galaxy. When she was away, she ensured that a team was available to assist customers with any inquiries. Given her role as an entrepreneur, the spy Vi Moradi did not consider Lira as a potential recruit for the Resistance when establishing a Resistance presence prior to the First Order's occupation of the planet that same year. During the occupation, Lira voiced her concerns to the merchant Kasif regarding the First Order's seizure of jewelry imports. The historian Eloc Throno included Lira in his book titled Traveler's Guide to Batuu, which was also written during the occupation.
Lira had a strong interest in fashion accessories, which was not a common trait among Bith. She was of the opinion that an enhanced collection of outfit pieces would positively impact her parents' stage presence. Lira expressed her discontent with the First Order's seizure of imported goods and displayed a dislike for Kasif's war profiteering.
Lira displayed inventiveness and could hand-craft popular designs from a range of unusual materials, capturing the attention of many entertainers because of her aptitude. She was known for consistently showcasing the latest trends in her market shop. As an experienced traveler, the Bith assembled a remarkable collection, offering something appealing to those of both modest and substantial wealth.

Kamka Lira's creation was part of the narrative background developed for the Jewels of Bith retail location within the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park area, which welcomed visitors at Disneyland Park starting on May 31, 2019. Although the official story specifies the character as a female Bith, the Star Wars: Datapad mobile app portrays Kamka as a bearded human individual. This article considers the official backstory as the canonical description of the character.
