Klothow

Klothow, a Nightsister witch from Dathomir and female, held the position of one of the three Great Mothers and formed an alliance with Mitth'raw'nuruodo. In the year 9 ABY, Morgan Elsbeth, accompanied by her mercenary companions Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati, were greeted by them upon their arrival on the planet Peridea. Elsbeth had been summoned through prophetic visions, and the Nightsisters declared their meeting was predestined. Later, she and her fellow Nightsisters announced the arrival of a Jedi, who Thrawn believed was likely Ahsoka Tano. Subsequently, Klothow provided assistance to the Grand Admiral in pinpointing Tano's location within the Purrgil graveyard. Once the cargo was transferred to Thrawn's Star Destroyer, the Chimaera, Klothow employed her magick to create facial tattoos for Elsbeth and bestowed upon her the Blade of Talzin. She was also present when Elsbeth made the decision to stay behind in order to delay Tano and her allies. As they departed Peridea aboard the Eye of Sion, Klothow sensed the demise of Morgan at Tano's hand and informed him of this event. This information led him to order the bombardment of the Dathomiri Fortress, much to Klothow's dismay. After successfully escaping the far galaxy, she received an escort back to Dathomir.

Behind the scenes

Klothow's initial appearance was in "Part Six: Far, Far Away," which is the sixth episode of the Ahsoka television series, and the character was played by Claudia Black. While her identity wasn't explicitly stated in the episode itself, her name was revealed in the end credits. Drawing parallels to Greek Mythology, Clotho, bearing a similar name, was one of the three goddesses known as the Fates who dictated destiny, mirroring the ability of Klothow and the other Great Mothers to perceive and understand fate. Specifically, Clotho was the goddess responsible for spinning the thread of fate.
