This occurred approximately thirty years following the Battle of Endor. This particular vessel spearheaded a squadron of Atmospheric Assault Landers en route to the _Resurgent_-class Star Destroyer known as Finalizer.
Unlike most starships that typically have a single shield generator, Kylo Ren's command shuttle was equipped with a pair of shield generators. This configuration streamlined and enhanced the distribution of shield energy. Furthermore, the shuttle incorporated an innovative magnetic field projection system, proving highly effective in deflecting plasma-based projectiles by altering their trajectories.
The command shuttle belonging to Kylo Ren participated in events such as the subjugation of Tuanul, the operations on Jakku, and the Battle of Takodana, where it touched down near the ruins of Takodana Castle. This vessel was used to transport Rey to Starkiller Base, where Ren intended to interrogate her personally.
After Ren seized the position of Supreme Leader through the assassination of Snoke, he and General Armitage Hux oversaw First Order forces during the Battle of Crait from the shuttle's command deck. Following Luke Skywalker's unexpected arrival, Ren instructed the shuttle's pilot, Jober Tavson, to set the craft down on Crait's salt flats so he could confront his former Jedi Master, even resorting to physically assaulting General Hux against a control panel when the general voiced his objections.
The command shuttle made its debut in the second teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. It was also featured as one of the exclusive schematics in Star Wars: Ships of the Galaxy, which was released on Force Friday on September 4, 2015.
In 2017, Kylo Ren's command shuttle was added as a playable ship under the same designation in the mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (originally released in 2015), which includes both canon and Legends characters and vehicles.
