A male human stormtrooper known by the designation LS-261 was stationed at the Imperial Complex located on Lothal during the Galactic Empire's era. Following an interrogation conducted by Governor Arihnda Pryce, he and a fellow stormtrooper were assigned to watch over a drugged Hera Syndulla. Kanan Jarrus, Syndulla's Jedi ally, confronted them, utilizing his Force powers to propel both troopers through a window.
After Hera Syndulla's General's unsuccessful attempt to destroy the TIE/d "Defender" Multi-Role Starfighter factory, LS-261, along with another stormtrooper, received orders to guard Hera Syndulla while Governor Arihnda Pryce interrogated the leader of the Rebel Alliance. Pryce, under the impression that Hera was confused, exited the room to confer with Rukh, the Noghri tracker. Hera then told LS-261 and his fellow trooper that they were in "terrible trouble", and cautioned them that Kanan Jarrus was about to enter Pryce's office.
Subsequently, Kanan employed his lightsaber to create an opening around LS-261's comrade, resulting in the comrade's death from the fall. LS-261 then used his comlink to report that they were under attack, but Kanan used the Force to throw him out the window, resulting in his death. Following this, Kanan and Hera escaped the building, although they were pursued by Rukh and Governor Pryce's forces.
LS-261 made his debut in "Jedi Night," the tenth episode of Star Wars Rebels's fourth season. Stephen Stanton provided his voice and was credited as "Stormtrooper #3".
