It surfaced, completely covered in a thick, clinging mud that enhanced its resilience, and subsequently murdered numerous local miners. In 9 BBY, after the bounty hunter Mosey Cimmaron alerted him to the creature's existence, the Jedi Cal Kestis located and ultimately defeated it.
The Mire Terror was a mogu residing in the Viscid Bog on the planet Koboh. Initially just a regular mogu, it was at some point completely submerged under the bog's surface, a fate that few living things could survive. However, the Mire Terror emerged transformed, its hardiness increased by the clinging mud that remained on its body after the incident. This mogu would then proceed to slay a large number of prospectors who were searching for priorite on Koboh.
In 9 BBY, Mosey Cimmaron, a hunter, informed Cal Kestis, a Jedi Knight, about the monster's location, advising him to avoid the mud the mogu threw during combat. Kestis later found the Mire Terror in the bog, where it was resting on an island alongside another mogu and a container holding a stim canister. The Jedi then killed both mogu and took the canister, reporting back to Cimmaron, who correctly assumed that the creature had a terrible odor.
The Mire Terror was featured as an optional, powerful boss enemy in the 2023 video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, developed by Respawn Entertainment. Defeating this creature is necessary to unlock the "I'm a Living Legend" trophy or achievement, therefore this article assumes that the player successfully defeated it.
