Morasil, a main sequence star, existed within the Cularin system as one half of a binary star pairing. Its companion was the white dwarf Termadus. Potentially as ancient as the galaxy itself, Morasil was significantly older than its partner. The cold, yellow light emitted by Morasil alone was insufficient to illuminate the asteroid belt without Termadus's assistance. Nevertheless, the combined luminosity of Morasil, Termadus, and the intervening gaseous nebula resulted in a brightness comparable to a solitary, radiant star. This combination also generated a significantly larger hyperspace shadow.
