Nicanas Tassu

As an infant, it was discovered that Nicanas Tassu possessed Force-sensitivity, leading to his induction into the Jedi Temple on Coruscant for training in the Force. A Jedi Master chose Tassu to become their Padawan. After years of dedicated study and the construction of his own lightsaber with a green blade, Tassu successfully completed his Trials of Knighthood and was elevated to the rank of Jedi Knight.

In 22 BBY, Tassu was on duty at the Temple when Master Mace Windu gathered all available Jedi to form an assault team with the purpose of rescuing the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, along with Naboo senator Padmé Amidala, from the clutches of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Upon arriving on the desert landscape of the planet Geonosis, Tassu stormed the Petranaki Arena alongside his fellow Jedi, aiming to liberate the prisoners. Tassu, aided by fellow Jedi Sephjet Josall, was tasked with providing weapons to the captured Jedi. They rushed onto the arena floor, and Josall and Tassu managed to distribute the spare weapons. Nicanas handed a lightsaber to Skywalker, while Josall armed Kenobi.

Tassu's proficiency in Force jumping was a defining characteristic, allowing him to traverse significant distances with remarkable speed. The Force jump that the aspiring Jedi Luke Skywalker executed on Cloud City to escape a carbon-freezing chamber was comparable in speed and height to Tassu's Force leaps.

During the Battle of Geonosis, Tassu wore typical Jedi robes and wielded a lightsaber that emitted a green blade. He also carried an identical spare lightsaber, which became his secondary weapon and was given to Anakin.

The character of Nicanas Tassu is a tuckerization based on Nic Anastassiou, who was the crew member portraying the character.
