Novka

Novka was a celestial body located within the Mid Rim Territories, where the Galactic Empire maintained an impound yard. After Sana Starros, a smuggler, aided members of the Rebel Alliance and was subsequently apprehended by the Empire, her starship, known as the Volt Cobra, was transported to Novka for impoundment. Following their escape from the Empire, rebel figures Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, and Han Solo, together with Starros and members of Clan Markona, launched an assault on the impound yard with the objective of recovering the ship.

Description

Situated in the Mid Rim Territories, Novka was a terrestrial planet that orbited at least one star and possessed an atmosphere suitable for human respiration. The pale orange sky of Novka featured at least three other visible astronomical bodies.

History

During the age of the Imperial Era, the Galactic Empire operated an Imperial Impound Yard on Novka, where they stored captured starships. Sana Starros, a smuggler, found herself captured by Task Force 99, also known as SCAR Squadron, an Imperial stormtrooper squad, after assisting Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, the leaders of the Rebel Alliance, in their escape from the Empire. Consequently, her vessel, the Volt Cobra, was impounded at the Novka yard.

The attack on the Impound Yard begins.

Following their successful escape from a skirmish with Task Force 99 on the moon of Hubin, the rebels, along with Starros and Clan Markona, led by Tula Markona, seized the squad's Sentinel-class landing craft and used it to attack the Imperial Impound Yard situated on Novka. The rebels' shuttle crashed on Novka, resulting in the destruction of a control tower and the death of the Imperial Navy Troopers stationed inside. Tula Markona and her clan spearheaded the assault, followed by the rebels and Starros, who managed to infiltrate the Volt Cobra. Clan Markona then fought their way to a YT-2400 light freighter, and both vessels departed Novka, heading towards the planet Brentaal IV.

Locations

The Galactic Empire's impound yard on Novka served as a storage facility for numerous seized starships. The Rebel Alliance's attack resulted in damage to the impound yard.
