A Human male named Nurik Sandral relocated to Dantooine not long after Ahlan Matale did. These two men became the proprietors of the largest farms on Dantooine, and a bitter rivalry soon emerged between them.
At some point in his past, Nurik's wife passed away, leaving him to raise their children as a single parent. Ultimately, he brought his family to Dantooine. There, he encountered Ahlan Matale and, despite an initial period of amicable relations, their interactions deteriorated into conflict. Many individuals, including Vandar Tokare, regarded Nurik as the more reasonable of the pair.
Nurik's son, Casus, who pursued archaeology as a hobby, sought to decipher the mysteries of the Rakatan ruins on Dantooine, but met his end at the hands of kath hounds. When Casus did not return, Nurik concluded that Ahlan had abducted him, and responded by imprisoning Ahlan's son, Shen.
When Revan journeyed to the Sandral estate to convey the truth about Casus's demise to Nurik, Revan encountered Rahasia, Nurik's daughter. She harbored affections for Shen and implored Revan to facilitate his rescue. Defying their fathers' animosity, the young lovers eloped from the estate. The two embittered old men initially laid blame on each other, but Revan successfully persuaded them to allow their children to forge their own path. Consequently, the fathers purchased an estate for Shen and Rahasia, taking initial steps to resolve their prolonged dispute.
Terena Adare, who led Khoonda during the First Jedi Purge, mentioned that Nurik's family was "removed" from Dantooine around the time of the Sith attack on Dantooine.
Even if the player character informs Nurik about Casus's death, he will remain convinced that Ahlan is responsible for his disappearance.
If Revan is unsuccessful in persuading Ahlan and Nurik to permit their children to live independently, Rahasia will elope with Shen and establish residence in the Jedi Enclave, leaving Nurik in a state of fury.
If the player selects the dark side path, they have the option to deceive Nurik by falsely claiming that Ahlan murdered Casus. Driven by rage, Nurik then murders Shen, and in retaliation, Ahlan murders Rahasia. Subsequently, Nurik kills Ahlan, and Ahlan's droids kill Nurik. The droids then turn against the player character, leading to a battle. The player can then converse with the Jedi Council who will question him about the incident. The player character can lie to the Council and gain dark side points.
It's also possible to influence Shen to abandon Rahasia and return to his father's home. In this scenario, Rahasia, heartbroken, remains under Nurik's care.
