Okikuti was a city situated on the shores of a sizable lake, found on Kashyyyk. This town was nestled within a forest clearing and accommodated agricultural lands, residential buildings, an animal nursery, and resource extraction operations.
On the Wookiees' homeworld of Kashyyyk lay Okikuti, a city. A lake formed its eastern boundary, while a forest enveloped it. Okikuti boasted a Command center, prefab shelters, a Carbon processing center, farms, and military structures like a troop center. In addition to a War Center and a nursery for animals, the city was defended on one side by walls and a pair of laser turrets.
In the year 19 BBY, not long after the Declaration of a New Order, Okikuti became the target of an assault during a battle that took place on Kashyyyk.
Years down the line, subsequent to rebuilding the Government Tree in Kepitenochan, Han Solo and Chewbacca came to the understanding that jammers deployed by the Galactic Empire were interfering with their ability to communicate with the New Republic. According to reports from the Wookiee Weebacca's scouts, these jammers were located in Okikuti, prompting Solo and Chewbacca to depart Kepitenochan and head there to eliminate them. Upon the arrival of the Wookiee assault team, they found the city deserted, with no jammers in sight, and were subsequently ambushed by the forces of Moff Darcc, who were operating from a nearby Imperial base. The city's location, surrounded by forest, meant their only escape route was blocked. Solo's earlier reservations about Weebacca proved correct, as he had betrayed them.
Unable to withstand Darcc's onslaught, Solo conceived a plan to carve a path through the forest to escape via water. They instructed the Wookiee laborers they had brought to begin cutting through the trees, and they soon reached the lake, where they swiftly constructed a shipyard and a functional transport. Solo and Chewbacca succeeded in escaping with their forces and reaching the jammers at Chenachochan before the arrival of additional Imperial reinforcements.
The strategy guide for the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds was the first mention of Okikuti. It was featured in a Chewbacca campaign mission. The game's 2002 expansion, Clone Campaigns, also included the mission and, consequently, the city. Once the player arrives at Okikuti, they are tasked with preventing the death of Solo and Chewbacca while directing workers to clear a route to the lake and construct a shipyard. If the player delays too long, All Terrain Armored Transports will launch an attack.
