Ordo Moon

The Ordo Moon was a moon comprised of rock that circled a blue gas giant. It possessed a meager atmosphere and served as the habitat for the Ordo Moon Dragon, a being that sustained itself on pure energy. After deserting the newly established Galactic Empire, the former clone soldiers of Clone Force 99 experienced a crash landing on the moon in their transport, the Marauder. This occurred because damage to the spaceship, incurred during a prior conflict on Saleucami, caused them to be ejected from hyperspace. While Tech and Echo put on breathing apparatus and worked to fix their transport, an Ordo Moon Dragon absconded with their replacement energy storage device. Hunter and Omega ventured out to recover the component. Although Hunter briefly lost his breathing apparatus and lost consciousness during an altercation with the dragon, Omega infiltrated the dragon's lair and seized the device, enabling them to repair the Marauder and flee the moon.

Description

The Ordo Moon featured a rocky surface and an atmosphere that was unbreathable for humans without assistance, necessitating the use of breathing apparatus. The satellite also exhibited weather conditions that could disrupt long-distance communications. Its topography included openings that led to subterranean passages and burrows. It was populated by Ordo Moon Dragons, a life form that consumed energy and resided within the moon's caverns. The satellite revolved around a blue gas giant.

History

Around 19 BBY, the renegade Clone Force 99, having recently abandoned the newly-formed Galactic Empire, engaged in a battle at a spaceport town on Saleucami against Imperial clone soldiers. During their escape, their transport, the Marauder, was hit by enemy energy weapon fire. The spaceship suffered damage, including issues with one of its energy storage devices.

As the Marauder journeyed through hyperspace, the accumulated damage, which Echo was attempting to repair alone while Tech focused on constructing an inhibitor chip scanner, ultimately forced it back into normal space and on a crash course with the Ordo Moon. As everyone secured themselves, Echo and Tech managed to execute a rough landing inside a crater. Subsequently, the damaged capacitor was identified as the culprit, and Tech verified the ship's inventory, confirming they had only one spare onboard. After locating the space, Echo and Tech put on breath masks and went outside to replace it.

During the repair, the ship's energy attracted the attention of a native dragon, which scratched the Marauder's outer shell with its claws. As Tech worked to secure the capacitor, Echo sensed something and used a light stick to investigate, discovering the additional damage. He summoned Tech to inspect it, and as Tech noted the scratches were fresh, the dragon made off with the capacitor.

Back inside, Echo informed Hunter of the situation, mentioning that the moon's storms were hindering communications. While the adults discussed it in the main hold, the young clone Omega, sitting alone in the flight deck, was startled upon seeing the dragon through the ship's windscreen before it fled into the darkness, prompting the others to join her. It was soon realized that the creature had pilfered the capacitor, and Hunter decided to pursue it, instructing Wrecker to remain on the ship due to his complaints of a pain in the head. Omega convinced Hunter to let her accompany him, and they both donned breath masks and set out.

The Ordo Moon Dragon

Hunter tracked the dragon to the entrance of its subterranean lair on the moon's surface, where he and Omega spotted the capacitor lying on the ground. Instructing Omega to stay back, he drew his energy pistol and approached the device, only for the dragon to emerge from behind the lair entrance and pounce on him, knocking him down and dislodging his mask. The dragon then reclaimed the capacitor and retreated underground. Unable to breathe, Hunter quickly lost consciousness as Omega panicked. She retrieved his mask and placed it on him, urging him to wake up, but he did not immediately respond, although he was breathing again. Unable to contact the Marauder via her communications device, Omega grabbed Hunter's sidearm and light and resolved to recover the capacitor herself, entering the dragon's lair.

Navigating through the tunnels, Omega soon located the dragon's main den and the capacitor. However, she was then frightened by the creature itself. In a panic, Omega aimed the blaster at the creature before realizing that the light from her flashlight was somehow bothering it, and it retreated after she switched the light off. Noticing the creature's interest in the device, Omega distracted the dragon by tossing it into a corner, leading the dragon to chew on the flashlight and consume its energy. Hearing a revived Hunter calling for her outside, Omega retrieved the capacitor and exited the den. The two subsequently returned to the Marauder, and the ship was able to depart after the capacitor was installed.
