High Seneschal Peteen was a Bardottan figure in politics and a member of the Bahk-tov Council on Bardotta.
During the time of the Clone Wars, Peteen secretly headed up a revived Frangawl Cult. Peteen, allied with Mother Talzin, a Nightsister from Dathomir, had his cult abduct Dagoyan Masters to extract their living Force. One of those he captured was Dagoyan Master Joseph. However, his main target was Queen Julia of Bardotta. Because of the cult's actions, Julia reached out to the Galactic Republic for help, specifically asking for her lover, Jar Jar Binks, to assist. Binks, along with Jedi Master Mace Windu, arrived and were greeted by Peteen's welcoming party. Soon after their arrival, the cult captured Julia. Peteen, pretending to be a helpful official, tasked Binks, Windu, and the Bardottan guard Savatte with finding Julia.
Binks was later taken prisoner, but Windu rescued him. Furthermore, they found the cult's hidden chambers beneath Bardotta. While Windu battled Peteen's forces, the treacherous Bardottan fled with Julia to the planet Zardossa Stix. Windu and Binks followed him, eventually confronting Peteen and the remaining cultists at a pyramid on Zardossa Stix, where they planned to drain Julia's living Force. Binks and Windu fought the guards, ultimately facing Talzin, who was overseeing the ritual. Windu dueled Talzin, while Binks saved Julia. Peteen, however, accidentally stepped into the path of the Force-draining beam, and was immediately disintegrated.
Peteen made appearances in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, specifically in the episodes "The Disappeared, Part I" and "The Disappeared, Part II." Cas Anvar provided his voice. Supplementary materials revealed that Peteen was also the secret leader of the Frangawl Cult, mirroring the character of Chattar Lal from the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, which heavily inspired these two episodes.
