Poma-clubs were establishments equipped with deprivation chambers, contraptions that employed pulsating pulse-music along with effervescent bubbling poma fluid in order to induce muscle relaxation and hallucinations in a person. In the year 5 ABY, a poma-club was in operation within Quarrow, which served as the capital city of the planet Nakadia. During that year, a number of New Republic agents journeyed to Quarrow, contemplating the potential influence of the planet's social environment and its poma-club on their forthcoming mission, which involved probing into the activities of certain New Republic senators. Soon thereafter, Senator Rethalow of the New Republic went to the poma-club and made use of a deprivation chamber. While Rethalow was inside, Jom Barell, a New Republic operative, located him at that location.
Poma-clubs were featured in Aftermath: Empire's End, a novel from 2017 penned by Chuck Wendig. It was the third book in the Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.
