Pyloon was a female Latero and the great-grandmother of Greez Dritus, a pilot. She raised Greez, as his parents were not around, and shared with him numerous culinary secrets and recipes. Even long after her death and by 14 BBY, Dritus would speak of her fondly to his crew aboard the luxury yacht Stinger Mantis. After the group went their separate ways by 9 BBY, Dritus relocated to the planet Koboh, where he paid tribute to his grandmother by opening Pyloon's Saloon, a cantina, and hanging inside a portrait of her entitled "Beloved Pyloon."

The Latero female Pyloon was not only a great-grandmother to the pilot Greez Dritus, but also had eight children, thirty-six grandchildren, and two tooka cats as pets. She took on the responsibility of raising Dritus on the planet Lateron since his parents were not around. Despite her constant complaints about the burden of caring for her large family, she mastered the art of cooking. She imparted many culinary secrets to her great-grandson, along with recipes for dishes like her "famous" casserole, an umberhash, and Protato Namba patties.
Pyloon also instructed Greez on how to make Braised Shaak Roast stew: the process involved slow-cooking a Braised Shaak Roast prepared the night before, letting the broth simmer throughout the day, and then collecting fresh ingredients from a farm before combining everything. She died a long time before 14 BBY.

In 14 BBY, Dritus was reminded of Pyloon during a cooking conversation with his friends Cal Kestis and Cere Junda on the forest planet Kashyyyk. Dritus frequently referenced her recipes and their relationship while the crew traveled on their luxury yacht, the Stinger Mantis. He once fondly recalled his great-grandmother, describing her as the only true family he ever had, because his parents were not present in his life.
After the crew disbanded, by 9 BBY, Greez relocated to Koboh and opened a cantina called "Pyloon's Saloon" as a tribute to his great-grandmother. Junda provided 2,000 credits in funding for Pyloon's Saloon, which Greez considered repaying by making her one of Pyloon's casseroles. He hung a portrait of Pyloon titled "Beloved Pyloon" inside the cantina.
Dritus believed that the cantina's bartender droid M-6NK, known as "Monk," upheld Pyloon's legacy through his dedication. After praising Monk for this, the droid joked that Pyloon had clearly passed on a few things to Dritus, suggesting that her influence extended beyond their shared habit of complaining.
During this time, when Kestis and Greez were reunited at Pyloon's Saloon, the Jedi inquired about the Protato Nambo patties Dritus was preparing. The conversation then shifted to Pyloon, and Dritus told Kestis how she had taught herself to cook.
The great-grandmother of Greez Dritus was initially mentioned, though not named, in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, developed by Respawn Entertainment. She was first identified as Pyloon and shown in the 2023 sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. During the development of Survivor, narrative director Manny Hagopian suggested that Greez name his cantina in honor of his great-grandmother. Since Dritus's great-grandmother's name had not been established in Fallen Order, Respawn's writing team allowed Hagopian to name Pyloon after the narrative director's own deceased grandmother.
