History

Separatist Crisis

Count Dooku, a former Jedi who had fallen from grace, delivered a speech in the Raxus system in 24 BBY. In this address, he seized control of a HoloNet relay station that was located within the system. Dooku's speech condemned the Galactic Republic, portraying it as a failing project plagued by corruption and biased in favor of the Core Worlds. Subsequently, the Serennian established the Confederacy of Independent Systems and initiated a secessionist movement, which resulted in thousands of star systems, including the Raxus system itself, seceding from the Republic to join the Confederacy.
