Rinn, a Gand species member, operated as a bounty hunter in partnership with Tiver, a Chadra-Fan. This duo, in conjunction with Neelda, a Rodian, and the human Jango Fett, accepted a contract to capture a Twi'lek who had run away. She was attempting to escape her father alongside her lover, Griph. Following her capture, Rinn and Tiver attempted to betray Fett and his son, Boba. However, Boba killed both Rinn and Tiver, allowing Neelda to survive and spread the story.
By the year 23 BBY, Rinn had established himself as a bounty hunter, eventually forming a partnership with Tiver, who was a Chadra-Fan. The pair frequently collaborated with Neelda, a Rodian. Sometime before the plot to assassinate Senator Amidala, the three were commissioned by a man to retrieve his runaway daughter. They convened on Telerath, where they were joined by the renowned bounty hunter, Jango Fett, who was also participating in the mission. They were taken aback when he brought his son, Boba Fett, along. Despite their surprise, they had no choice but to accept Boba's presence.

Rinn, along with the other bounty hunters, journeyed to Ord Mantell, where they waited for the Twi'lek girl at a local cantina. Soon after, she arrived to meet her lover, Griph. As they conversed on a balcony, Rinn, Tiver, Neelda, and Boba cornered them. Neelda urged Griph to flee, and he ran away as quickly as possible. Desperate to avoid being returned to her father, the girl jumped from the balcony. Fortunately for the bounty hunters, Fett was monitoring the skies and caught her, stunning her in the process. After placing the girl in Fett's ship, Rinn, Tiver, and Neelda followed him and Boba, discussing the reason for Fett's aerial surveillance. It was at this point that Rinn and Tiver betrayed them. Rinn held Fett at gunpoint, demanding the girl's release, while Tiver tackled Boba to the ground. Neelda refused to support their actions, even when Rinn offered him a share of the bounty. Suddenly, Boba broke free from Tiver and killed her with a concealed blaster. He then shot down Rinn while the Gand was still trying to understand what had transpired.

Rinn was a Gand characterized by green eyes and dark skin. Rinn, alongside his partner Tiver, attempted to steal the Fetts' bounty with the intention of claiming a larger portion of the reward for themselves.
To breathe in oxygen-rich environments, Rinn wore a gas mask respirator connected to breather packs to breathe ammonia. Rinn was armed with an IQA-11 Blaster Rifle and briefly used Boba's DL-18 blaster pistol.
