This rifle was often customized with attachments like a longer barrel and a dual magnification scope. Notably, during the Clone Wars, the bounty hunter known as Rumi Paramita wielded an IQA-11 while defending Felucian farmers against the Ohnaka Gang. Furthermore, a Mon Calamari was seen using this weapon during the Imperial Era.
The IQA-11 Blaster Rifle, a type of sniper rifle, discharged blue blaster bolts over considerable distances. Its color was dark green, and it included a lengthy barrel along with a scope for enhanced viewing. Besides a trigger guard, the IQA-11 also featured cooling vents surrounding the barrel. This sniper rifle could be further enhanced with a dual zoom scope for switching between magnification levels, a longer barrel to boost projectile velocity, and a power cell attached to the side, improving the weapon's cooling efficiency.

The IQA-11's easy-to-handle design and low cost made it a favored armament for bounty hunters and mercenaries prioritizing consistent performance at long ranges. During the [Clone Wars](/article/clone_wars], the Frenk bounty hunter Rumi Paramita carried an IQA-11. While present on the planet Felucia in 21 BBY, Paramita used her rifle to hold the Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano at gunpoint within the Felucian village of Akira. Subsequently, she employed it to defend the Felucian farmers of the village from Ohnaka Gang pirates, before ultimately being killed by an explosion from a WLO-5 battle tank.
Sometime during the reign of the Galactic Empire, a Mon Calamari used the scope of an IQA-11 to observe a group of Imperials and their captives.

The IQA-11 Blaster Rifle made its debut in "Bounty Hunters," the seventeenth episode of Season Two of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which was broadcast on April 2, 2010. Its name was officially recognized in the new Star Wars canon on the corresponding card in Awakenings, a booster pack for the Star Wars: Destiny card game, released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2016. The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity; the weapon was identified in Star Wars: The Clone Wars Character Encyclopedia, a 2010 visual guide written by Jason Fry. Concept art for the weapon was created by David Le Merrer.
Within the 2017 video game Star Wars Battlefront II, the IQA-11 is unlocked after the player defeats fifty enemies while playing as the Specialist class, and it is accessible to all factions. The IQA-11's modifications included a dual zoom scope, an extended barrel for increased projectile speed, and a power cell to reduce cooldown time. Players can only equip two of these modifications at any one time. The weapon and its modifications were designed for the game by artist Sebastian Kim.
