The inaugural episode of Star Wars: Visions Volume 2, entitled "Sith," made its debut on Disney+ on May 4, 2023. This episode was brought to life by El Guiri Studios, an animation house based in Spain, under the direction of Rodrigo Blaas.
The episode begins with a droid, specifically E2, navigating the hallways of a dwelling on wheels. It proceeds through a doorway and descends a staircase into a bedroom. Lola, a human woman who possesses a cybernetic arm, is shown resting uneasily on her bed, breathing heavily. The droid deploys three legs resembling those of a crab and attempts to comfort Lola through gestures. Lola assures E2 that she was merely troubled by a frightening dream.
As an eclipse nears, Lola expresses her desire to complete her painting. With E2's assistance, she obtains a quantity of paint from a mixing device. Upon opening the container, a series of multi-colored bubbles are released. Lola tries to seize the bubbles, but they transform into a dark shade. Releasing the bubbles, they burst and splatter across the white surfaces. Lola and E2 then leave the building to explore the surrounding garden area.
While admiring the scenery, she and E2 ascend a set of stairs that lead into a tunnel-like structure. Lola begins working on a mural, applying vibrant colors to it. Despite her efforts, Lola is unable to remove the dark marks that persistently appear on her mural. Lola is then alerted by a sensor warning from Beacon 7, which she initially attributes to a meteorite impact. The woman adjusts the repulsorlift mechanism on her TSMEU-6 personal wheel bike and sets off with E2 to investigate the beacon alert.
They travel up a steep hill using the wheel bike. Lola discovers that Beacon 7 was not damaged by a meteorite, but rather by an act of sabotage. A masked Sith master with intensely glowing yellow and red eyes appears from behind. He is accompanied by multiple figures clad in red armor. The Sith master reminds Lola of a commitment she made, but Lola retorts that she is no longer affiliated with the Sith. Lola instructs E2 to activate the wheel bike, and they both attempt to escape from the intruders. They descend a cliff and attempt to escape through the rocky terrain.
The Sith soldiers use jetpacks to chase Lola across the uneven terrain. After narrowly avoiding a rocket explosion, she utilizes the blasters attached to the wheel bike to eliminate two of her pursuers. While evading the third shooter, Lola commands E2 to prepare their ship. As they approach her garage, the pursuer manages to damage her wheel bike, causing it to crash. The woman and E2 are ejected from the vehicle, but E2 uses a laser cannon contained within his head to eliminate the pursuer.
The Sith master then arrives and uses the Force to dismantle E2's legs. The injured Lola retreats into her garage and subsequently into her home. The Sith master follows, dragging his lightsaber across the floor. Lola confronts him with a yellow lightsaber, and the two engage in a heated lightsaber battle. He briefly blinds her with sparks from his lightsaber, causing her to fall back. The Sith master insists that Lola belongs at his side, but she asserts that she has discovered her own path.
The Sith master declares that darkness is her destiny before knocking her to the ground. He tells her that becoming the Sith master will be her only escape. Lola touches the floor with her mechanical arm, creating numerous colored bubbles. She states that light and darkness are both elements of the painting, and of herself. Lola then charges with her lightsaber, which has now transformed into a double-bladed weapon with a red and yellow blade. She attacks her master, defeating him.
The Sith master acknowledges Lola's success and declares that she has become a Sith master. Lola denies being a Sith as the Sith master fades away, becoming one with the Force. Later, Lola repairs E2, and the two depart on her triple-bladed starship in search of a more welcoming world. She leaves behind her completed mural depicting a yellow and red double-bladed lightsaber, which represents both the light and dark aspects of the Force. As they journey into space, Lola proclaims that she is now a master and can define her own future.
