In 3954 BBY, a minor conflict transpired on the planet of Rekkiad. This confrontation pitted the Mandalorian clans Ordo against Jendri. The catalyst for this clash was the search for Mandalore's Mask, during which Clan Ordo trespassed upon Clan Jendri's territory. In response, a contingent of Jendri soldiers, supported by four pilots piloting their Basilisk war droid, attacked Clan Ordo's encampment. Their objective was to deny Clan Ordo access to the Jendri's Basilisk war droids. Jedi Master Revan, who had aligned himself with Clan Ordo alongside Mandalorian mercenary Canderous Ordo in their quest, orchestrated a diversion. This allowed six of Clan Ordo's pilots sufficient time to reach and board their semi-sentient machines. With their Basilisks airborne, Clan Ordo achieved numerical superiority over the remaining Jendri pilots, causing the surviving Jendri troops to retreat from the battlefield.
In the year 3954 BBY, the surviving Mandalorian clans—remnants from the Mandalorian Wars fought against the Galactic Republic—departed from their homeworld of Mandalore. They later convened on the planet Rekkiad, united by the search for the ancient ceremonial artifact known as Mandalore's Mask. A Jedi Master of the Jedi Order, named Revan, and the Mandalorian mercenary Canderous Ordo, made their way to Rekkiad. Their purpose was to assist Clan Ordo, Canderous' own clan, in their pursuit of the mask. Each clan designated a specific territory on the planet as their hunting ground for the artifact. One evening, guided by a recollection of his previous visit to Rekkiad with his apprentice, Malak, Revan persuaded Veela Ordo, the chief of the clan and Canderous' wife, along with her clan, to venture into Clan Jendri's designated area in hopes of finding Mandalore's Mask.

In the early hours of one morning, just before the break of dawn, Clan Jendri launched a retaliatory attack on Clan Ordo, provoked by the intrusion into their territory. The Jendri soldiers, outnumbering Clan Ordo's forces by a ratio of two to one, targeted their campsite. Simultaneously, four of their pilots in Basilisk war droid strafed the battlefield from above, effectively preventing the invaders from reaching their own Basilisks. Veela Ordo led her clan in the ensuing battle, while Revan, having already eliminated a sniper and a soldier, discerned Clan Jendri's strategic intent. He then devised a diversion, employing his lightsaber to draw the attention of the Jendri pilots. He proceeded to engage the nearest one, maneuvering beneath the machine, leaped upwards, and damaged one of its stabilizing tail fins. As the pilot circled back to target the Jedi Master, Revan jumped onto the Basilisk and kill the pilot. This act of distraction enabled Canderous and five other Clan Ordo pilots, who had previously been unable to reach their machines due to the strafing fire, to safely access their own Basilisk mounts, take to the skies, and engage the remaining Jendri pilots.
Recognizing their numerical disadvantage, some of the surviving Jendri troops chose to abandon the battlefield. Those who remained were subsequently overwhelmed by Clan Ordo, resulting in a decisive defeat for Clan Jendri.
In the wake of the skirmish, Clan Ordo seized the captured territory from Clan Jendri. Later that evening, Veela orchestrated the construction of a funeral pyre to honor the thirty fallen warriors. This included one Clan Jendri pilot, one Jendri sniper, twenty-two Jendri soldiers, and six members of Clan Ordo, all of whom were granted a warrior's send-off. The pyre burned for several hours, during which Clan Ordo paid tribute to the deceased through songs and a celebratory feast, both mourning their losses and celebrating their victory.
The following day, Revan and the remaining members of Clan Ordo ascended the First Spear, the location of the tomb of the Sith Lord Dramath the Second, part of the Twin Spears, a pair of ice columns, each several kilometers high, topped with flat plateaus. Upon reaching the summit, Canderous and Revan rediscovered and explored the tomb, ultimately locating Mandalore's Mask within Dramath's crypt. Shortly after recovering the mask, they were ambushed by Veela and five Mandalorians. The ensuing firefight forced them to kill Veela and the others.
The skirmish was initially depicted in Drew Karpyshyn's 2011 novel, The Old Republic: Revan.
