A conflict, classified as a skirmish, transpired in 3954 BBY within the confines of Dramath the Second's tomb, situated on the Outer Rim planet known as Rekkiad. Revan, a Jedi Master, and Canderous Ordo, a Mandalorian warrior, were drawn to the tomb by Revan's own recollections—specifically, his prior discovery of the tomb—which revealed the whereabouts of the Mask belonging to Mandalore. While they were inside the tomb, Canderous was confronted by his wife, Veela, and five other Mandalorians, who launched a surprise attack, challenging Revan's true identity and asserting Veela's belief that her husband ought to assume leadership of Clan Ordo. Canderous's refusal to side with Veela precipitated a firefight that culminated in the deaths of Veela and her five Mandalorian companions. The day following this encounter, Revan disclosed to Canderous the authentic origins of the Mandalorian Wars, revealing the clandestine influence of the hidden Sith Empire in orchestrating the invasion of the Galactic Republic.

Back in 3954 BBY, those remaining Mandalorian clans, a warrior culture that had endured the Mandalorian Wars against the Galactic Republic—a war concluding with the death of their leader, Mandalore the Ultimate, at the hand of Jedi Knight Revan—converged on Rekkiad, an Outer Rim planet, to conduct a search for Mandalore's Mask, the symbolic war mask of the Mandalore. During that year, Revan, by then a Jedi Master, journeyed to Rekkiad alongside the Mandalorian Canderous Ordo, assisting Clan Ordo, Canderous's clan, in their quest to locate the Mask. Six years prior, Revan and his associate Malak had concealed the Mask within the tomb of the Sith Lord Dramath, situated within one of the two ice formations known as the Twin Spears on Rekkiad's surface. Revan, using the alias "Avner," and Canderous joined Clan Ordo's search, with Revan's recollections prompting him to persuade clan chief Veela Ordo, Canderous's wife, to relocate their camp nearer to the Twin Spears. However, the Twin Spears were located within the territory of Clan Jendri, as each clan had designated its own territory for the Mask search.
The morning following Clan Ordo's camp establishment, they were attacked by Clan Jendri as retribution for trespassing. Clan Ordo emerged victorious, aided by Revan, who inadvertently revealed his Jedi identity to Veela. Clan Ordo celebrated their triumph late into the night, and on the following day, they reached their destination. The clan divided into two teams: the first consisting of Revan, Canderous, and two pilots, while the second comprised Veela and three pilots, before ascending the First Spear. During the seven-hour climb, a member of Veela's team lost their footing, forcing her team to assist, slowing them down and allowing Revan's team to reach the summit first. Revan guided Clan Ordo to the tomb's entrance atop the Spear. He and Canderous entered the tomb first, successfully locating the Mask within Dramath's sarcophagus.

Upon Revan and Canderous's discovery of Mandalore's Mask inside Dramath's sarcophagus, Canderous's wife and the five pilots ambushed them. Veela exposed her knowledge of Revan's Jedi identity, imploring Canderous to forsake his allegiance to Revan and reclaim his position as Clan Ordo's leader, asserting that his rightful place was by her side. Canderous refused to betray his loyalty to Revan, urging Veela and the others to stand down. With neither side relenting, Veela and her Mandalorians opened fire on Revan and Canderous, forcing the two to defend themselves.
Revan employed his lightsaber to deflect the initial blaster shots, redirecting them back at the original shooters, and grazing Veela's shoulder. Veela and the surviving Mandalorians sought cover, launching three grenades into the room. However, Revan used telekinesis to lift the sarcophagus lid, using it as a shield to protect Canderous and himself. The explosion shattered the lid and stunned Revan, prompting Veela and the remaining Mandalorians to charge into the room, attempting to eliminate the disoriented Revan. However, Canderous shot Veela before she could kill Revan. The remaining soldiers were stunned by Veela's death, and Revan seized the opportunity by using the Force to fling his lightsaber at the distracted soldiers, killing them before they could react.

The following day, Revan revealed to Canderous the true genesis of the Mandalorian Wars. He recounted how an emissary from the hidden Sith Empire had journeyed to Mandalore—the Mandalorian homeworld—seeking assistance from the current Mandalore, Mandalore the Ultimate, in locating the remains of Dramath the Second, the adversary of the emissary's Master, the Sith Emperor. The emissary and Mandalore discovered Dramath's tomb on Rekkiad, and the emissary retrieved the remains to return to his Master. The emissary relayed to Mandalore a vision his Master had, depicting the Mandalorian warriors rising and defeating the Republic, while casting a spell that exclusively affected Mandalore the Ultimate, ensuring the Mandalorian invasion.
After sharing the truth with Canderous, Revan requested that he remain and assume the mantle of Mandalore, safeguarding his people and the Republic. Following Revan's explanation, Canderous donned Mandalore's Mask, declaring himself Mandalore the Preserver, vowing to restore the glory and honor of his people. Revan then journeyed to Nathema, the planet recorded in Dramath's datacron, seeking further insights into the Sith.
This skirmish was initially depicted in Drew Karpyshyn's 2011 novel, The Old Republic: Revan.
