Star Wars: Legacy — War, alternatively presented as Legacy: War, constitutes a limited series of five comic books, taking place within the Legacy era.
A persistent Sith is hard to defeat!
Darth Krayt has made a comeback from what was believed to be his "demise," now possessing enhanced strength, amplified wickedness, and an unwavering resolve to subjugate the galaxy under his oppressive rule. Despite facing opposition from Emperor Roan Fel's Imperials, the Galactic Alliance, the Jedi Order, and even segments of his own Sith followers, Krayt might appear to be at a disadvantage—however, his adversaries have underestimated the immense power he wields through the dark side!
If there ever was an opportune moment for Cade Skywalker to evade his inherited destiny, it is undoubtedly now!
Having been nurtured as a Jedi until the age of fourteen, Cade bore witness to the tragic demise of his father at the hands of the Sith, as well as the devastation of the Jedi Academy on Ossus. Abandoning his family name, Cade integrated himself into Rav's group of pirates, thus becoming immersed in the galactic criminal world. It was during his association with Rav that he crossed paths with Jariah Syn. Fast forward seven years, Cade operates as a bounty hunter alongside Syn and Deliah Blue, forming the crew of his vessel, the Mynock. While pursuing a bounty on Marasiah Fel, Cade re-establishes contact with both the Jedi and the Sith. Exceptionally talented in utilizing the Force, Cade reluctantly finds himself at the epicenter of significant galactic occurrences, compelling him to embrace his Skywalker lineage. The ultimate trajectory of this heritage, whether it leads to redemption or destruction, remains uncertain. Currently, he has embarked on a personal quest to permanently eliminate Darth Krayt.
As the third Emperor from the Fel dynasty to ascend to the Imperial throne, Roan Fel was forcefully removed from his position of authority by Darth Krayt in 130 ABY, subsequent to the conclusion of the Sith–Imperial War. The emergence of the Sith disrupted his carefully laid strategies to maintain the Empire's course as envisioned by his grandfather. Over the subsequent seven years, Fel has, largely due to his astute political maneuvering and strategic intellect, sustained a relentless campaign against the Sith, even successfully reclaiming the planet of Bastion. Fel is a highly skilled Imperial Knight.
Draco assumes the role of leader within the Imperial Knights, an organization comprised of exceptionally trained Force users who pledge their unwavering loyalty to the Empire, as embodied by its leader, Roan Fel. Draco's remarkable proficiency with a lightsaber is matched by his expertise in piloting a fighter, yet it may be surpassed by the depth of affection he harbors for Princess Marasiah. Possessing steadfast dedication to the ideals of the Imperial Knights, Draco would willingly sacrifice his own existence for the sake of the Emperor. He was later encased in carbonite after suffering defeat at the hands of his former mentor in combat.
Originally a Jedi known as A'Sharad Hett who participated in the Clone Wars, Hett grew disillusioned with the state of the galaxy and unearthed the Sith holocron belonging to the ancient XoXaan on the planet Korriban. Following his capture and subsequent torture by the Yuuzhan Vong, Hett re-emerged as Darth Krayt, dedicating a century to secretly establishing a new Sith Order. Krayt covertly orchestrated the Sith–Imperial War, and after aiding the Imperials in their victory, he seized control of the throne for himself and initiated his reign over the galaxy. Afflicted by a Yuuzhan Vong ailment that is gradually consuming his physical form, Krayt sought Cade Skywalker's restorative abilities to alleviate his condition, until he sustained a fatal wound inflicted by Darth Wyyrlok III. He has now returned, exhibiting enhanced power and a firm determination to subject the entire galaxy to his dominion.
As a Sith Hand serving Darth Krayt, Darth Talon's sole purpose is to fulfill his directives. Her initial mission involved locating and eliminating Roan Fel, which ultimately led her to his daughter, Marasiah, and consequently Cade Skywalker. She has engaged in multiple duels with Cade since then, and briefly instructed him in the principles of the Sith. Characterized by her aloofness and lack of emotion, her tattoos were obtained through ritualistic combat and were personally inscribed by Darth Krayt.
Serving as the other hand of Darth Krayt, Darth Nihl was a Nagai warlord on his native planet prior to enlisting in the Sith ranks. He functions as Krayt's primary enforcer, albeit displaying some animosity towards his master due to perceived preferential treatment, stemming from his non-Sith origins. Nihl wields a lightsaber staff, and was responsible for the death of Kol Skywalker using Force lightning during the Massacre of Ossus.
Darth Wyyrlok holds the position of chief lieutenant and most trusted confidant to Darth Krayt, representing the third member of his family's lineage to hold that designation and role. As a master of Sith knowledge and the dark side's intricacies, Wyyrlok persistently seeks remedies for his master's affliction, even venturing into the galaxy's Deep Core to confront the spectral presence of Darth Andeddu. He subsequently betrayed Darth Krayt, presuming him to be deceased. With Krayt's resurgence, he now stands as one of the Dark Lord's adversaries.
Darth Maladi presides over Sith Intelligence and Assassination, possessing expertise in the arts of assassination and torture. She has subjected both Cade Skywalker and the Jedi Hosk Trey'lis to torture, and played a pivotal role in sabotaging the Ossus Project. Having undergone training directly under Darth Krayt, she exhibits proficiency with a lightsaber and possesses extensive knowledge of Sith alchemy. She currently spearheads a dissenting faction that opposes Darth Wyyrlok's regency over both the Order and the Empire.
Serving as the Director of Imperial Intelligence and the romantic partner of Morlish Veed, Calixte is equally as astute and ambitious as her counterpart. The Sith initially established contact with the Empire through her. Calixte leads a clandestine existence as Imperial Intelligence agent Morrigan Corde, who is frequently employed by Veed, who remains unaware that the two women are one and the same. Under the guise of Corde, Calixte was romantically involved with Kol Skywalker, ultimately becoming Cade's mother.
Born Nat Skywalker, Rawk is a descendant of Luke Skywalker and the elder sibling of Kol Skywalker. He departed from the Jedi Order prior to the purge, yet continues to provide guidance and support to his nephew Cade and his crew.
