C-3PO finds himself aboard the Devastator where he is undergoing interrogation. However, the troopers from Scar Squadron are finding his constant stream of information both pointless and irritating. The biggest problem? He has not revealed the location of the Rebel Fleet or a potential new base. Kreel, the Sergeant, suggests going through C-3PO's memory banks. However, Darth Vader countermands this, ordering him and his squadron to scrap the droid for parts. He threatens them with a similar fate should they continue to fail him. Before they do this, the other troops convince Kreel to send a message to the Rebellion letting them know their "beloved" droid is in their hands, in hopes of drawing them into a trap. C-3PO, meanwhile, assures the squadron that his friends would jump at the chance to rescue him.
Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and Chewbacca, back on the Rebel Fleet, are in agreement that a rescue attempt would be suicidal. This is especially true considering the recent theft of a Star Destroyer. He was assigned to Luke Skywalker, after R2-D2's mission to rescue a captured C-3PO.
This comic book shows the Delta-7 Aethersprite-class light interceptor existing before the Invasion of Naboo. However, the book Star Wars: Complete Locations published in 2016, states that the Delta-7 was actually created as a response to the Naboo invasion.
