Staz

By 10 BBY, Staz, a male human, attained the major rank within the Galactic Empire's Armed Forces, leading the 224th Imperial Armored Division. He spearheaded the division's efforts in the Mimban Campaign, battling against the Mimbanese Liberation Army, who opposed Imperial occupation.

During the Mimban conflict, Staz gave the order for his troops to seize a crucial ridge during the intense battle on Mimban. After an explosion knocked Corporal Han Solo to the ground, Staz assisted him in getting back on his feet and informed him that they were nearing their target. When Solo expressed confusion about their destination, Staz clarified that they were heading just beyond the final ridge. As Staz began to declare that victory was imminent, he failed to observe an incoming missile from the Mimbanese forces, which resulted in his immediate and violent demise.

Solo was taken aback by his passing and retreated to a trench. There, he observed an individual who appeared to be an Imperial officer, but was in reality Tobias Beckett wearing a captain's uniform. Beckett was on Mimban with the intention of stealing a Y-45 armored transport hauler for a planned heist on Vandor. While Beckett conversed with his crew, Solo interjected to inform him that Staz had instructed them to proceed in the opposite direction. Beckett retorted by telling Solo to go that way and die, to which Solo replied that this was what happened to Staz.

Staz was a human male characterized by dark hair and a fair complexion. Despite his rank as a major, Staz actively engaged in frontline combat, even assisting and motivating a subordinate during at least one instance. However, his enthusiasm for battle and rallying his troops in the name of the Empire led to a lack of awareness of his surroundings, causing him to overlook an incoming missile until it was too late to evade it.

Staz demonstrated the ability to command his subordinates effectively and use an E-10 blaster rifle during intense combat situations.

As an officer within the Galactic Empire, Staz was outfitted with a standard officer's uniform, including a form-fitting, waterproof greatcoat and a plastoid chestplate armor element. Additionally, he wore an unarmored cap and employed a blaster rifle during combat.
