The Strangled Cliffs represented a collection of towering cliffs situated on Dathomir, a planet located within the Outer Rim Territories. These cliffs featured diverse landscapes that provided habitats for creatures such as bane back spiders, nydaks along with their Nydak Alpha relatives, and chirodactyl bats. The Nightsister clan of Dathomirian witches, together with their Nightbrother warriors, controlled several sites on the cliffs, including a Nightbrother arena found in the Swamp of Sacrifice and the adjacent Witches Horn. The highest area of the cliffs was referred to as the Upper Strangled Cliffs. Subsequent to the destruction of their original village in 19 BBY, the Nightbrothers erected a new village in the Upper Strangled Cliffs and established various outposts throughout the cliff region.
