Biography

Initial Corellian Insurrection and Encounter with Lando

Tendra during the First Corellian Insurrection.

Born on Sacorria, Tendra Risant was the offspring of a successful businessman and a government official of lesser rank. Beyond her governmental duties, she was also involved in managing her father's business documentation. Despite her wealth, she recognized that her privileged position stemmed from her connections with influential friends and family throughout the Corellian sector. Feeling isolated in her circumstances, she yearned for the dependability and affection of a committed relationship, leading her to seek a husband from beyond her world. Although Sacorrian customs prohibited marriages between natives and outsiders, Tendra had grown weary of life on Sacorria. Her personal advertisement caught the eye of Lando Calrissian, who, having completed the Dometown project on Coruscant, was looking for a wealthy wife and business partner. Their relationship blossomed into a close friendship and business partnership, culminating in their marriage.

Lando journeyed to Sacorria to meet Tendra, and they experienced an immediate attraction. However, Lando was soon expelled by the Sacorrian Triad, who were then orchestrating the Corellian Incident. Before his departure, Lando gifted Tendra a basic radionics device, capable of transmitting and receiving messages limited by the speed of light. Tendra awaited his message for several days. Growing concerned by an unexpected buildup of ships around Sacorria, she took decisive action. She acquired a makeshift starship named the Gentleman Caller and embarked for Corellia to warn Lando. Her journey was cut short when she became stranded in deep space by the system-wide interdiction field activated on Centerpoint Station. Without hyperdrive, the voyage to Corellia would take several months. Compounding her troubles, the interdiction field was accompanied by powerful communications jamming.

Marooned and vulnerable, she utilized her only available tool: the rudimentary radionics device Lando had provided. The jamming technology was only effective against subspace transceivers and did not affect radio transmissions. Tendra dispatched numerous messages specifically addressed to Lando. Although restricted to lightspeed, these transmissions eventually reached Corellia. Upon establishing contact, she was connected with the New Republic Intelligence Service and designated "Source T." She provided the best possible description of the approaching Sacorrian fleet, supplying Republic and Bakuran forces with crucial intelligence prior to the Battle of Centerpoint Station.

Marriage and Commercial Endeavors

Tendra Calrissian

Following the First Corellian Insurrection, Lando began to court Tendra, providing her with an apartment in Dometown. Airen Cracken delivered a message to her father regarding her heroism in saving the New Republic, which helped to mitigate the disappointment of losing his daughter. Having defied Sacorrian customs, she was no longer welcome on her home planet.

Combining their sharp business acumen, they initially established an underwater mining operation on Varn, which proved successful due to Tendra's family's financial support. Subsequently, they initiated mining operations on Dubrillion and Destrillion, eventually founding Tendrando Arms.

During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Tendrando Arms engineered and produced the YVH 1 battle droids, which aided the Republic in its fight against the Yuuzhan Vong. It was during this period that she and Lando became more deeply involved with the Smugglers' Alliance, collaborating with figures such as Booster Terrik and [Talon Karrde] (article/talon_karrde) to support the Republic's war efforts.

After the Yuuzhan Vong's surrender, Tendra and Lando resolved to pursue more ethical ventures, recognizing that the galaxy needed assistance in its recovery and that their resources could be used to achieve widespread success rather than merely personal gain.

By 40 ABY, Tendra was expecting Lando's first child, Lando Calrissian, Junior, who was nicknamed Chance by 43 ABY. Tendra and Lando later hosted a celebration on the spice world of Kessel with their friends, following their success in saving the planet from ground quakes that threatened its destruction.
