Serving on the Star Destroyer called Steadfast, she worked with intelligence gathered regarding Resistance activities. In the year 35 ABY, Kandia examined a necklace taken from the Jedi Rey, who was in-training. This was done for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, and she determined it came from the planet of Pasaana.
Tishra Kandia was a human who was considered to be one of the best intelligence officers in the service of the First Order. During the First Order-Resistance War with the Resistance, she was assigned to the Resurgent-class Star Destroyer named the Steadfast, where her job was to process evidence and accounts related to Resistance operations.
In 35 ABY, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren had a high opinion of Kandia and trusted her with analyzing a necklace that he had taken from the Jedi-in-training Rey through their Force-bond. Kandia successfully identified the necklace's origin as the Forbidden Valley on the planet Pasaana, which is located in the Middian system.
She gave the necklace back to the Supreme Leader and told Ren and Allegiant General Enric Pryde about her findings in one of the Steadfast's hallways. Ren then told Pryde to get his starship ready and to tell any First Order forces in the area to start looking for Rey. The Steadfast was later destroyed in the Battle of Exegol.
Tishra Kandia had fair skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. She took Kylo Ren's instructions to find any information about Rey's location very seriously, and she explored every possibility. This made her one of the few intelligence officers who didn't question Ren's orders to use resources to find the Jedi-in-training. She was proud of the intelligence she was able to gather to use against the Resistance.
Kandia wore a gray officer's uniform, including a cap. She carried a pair of code cylinders that gave her access to the analysis lab on the Steadfast.
Amanda Hale played Tishra Kandia in the 2019 sequel trilogy movie, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Her last name was revealed in the credits of the film, while her first name first appeared in the companion book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo. The 2020 junior novelization of the movie by Michael Kogge lists Kandia as one of the officers present when Ren presents the head of Boolio, a Resistance supporter, to the First Order Supreme Council. However, since Kandia isn't seen in that scene in the movie, this article assumes that the junior novelization is incorrect.
