Tryla, a female Ming Po individual, resided on Carlac amidst the turmoil of the Clone Wars. She held the position of granddaughter to Pieter, the chieftain of her people.

During the era of the Clone Wars, Tryla, along with numerous other women from her village, was seized by members of Death Watch and compelled into servitude for the Mandalorian warriors. Following their expulsion from their base situated on Concordia, Death Watch sought refuge on Carlac, where they proceeded to dominate the indigenous Ming Po population. During her time at the Death Watch encampment on Carlac, Tryla forged a friendship with Ahsoka Tano. Pieter, Tryla's grandfather, made an attempt to negotiate with Vizsla for the liberation of his people. Vizsla seemingly acquiesced to the request; however, this was subsequently countered with violence on the part of the Death Watch leader when he returned Tryla to her grandfather. Vizsla brandished his Darksaber and aimed to strike Pieter. Fortunately for Pieter, but tragically for Tryla, she intervened, shielding her grandfather, and was fatally wounded by the Darksaber. In her final moments, she implored Ahsoka to safeguard her people.
Tryla's debut occurred in the Clone Wars episode titled "A Friend in Need," with her vocal portrayal provided by Catherine Taber, who had previously lent her voice to Padmé Amidala and Numa within the same series. The Databank entry dedicated to Tryla on StarWars.com specifies her height as 1.67 meters, while the 2021 reference publication Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Character Encyclopedia - Join the Battle! authored by Jason Fry indicates her height as 1.7 meters. This document regards the latter measurement as the more precise figure, given its status as the more recent source.
