A scientist, a male human, collaborated with a remnant of the Galactic Empire under the command of Moff Gideon. This work occurred at a laboratory within the Imperial base on the planet Nevarro. When a group of individuals infiltrated the base, the scientist and a colleague tried to erase the data from the laboratory's drives, but they were interrupted. He attempted to defend against the intruders, but was killed along with his colleague.
During the New Republic era, specifically the reign of the New Republic, this scientist was in the employ of a Galactic Empire remnant, which was being led by Moff Gideon. At an Imperial base located on the planet Nevarro, the scientist and an associate were involved in biological experiments being conducted by Dr. Penn Pershing at a laboratory, where blood with a high M-count was being transfused into subjects, with "catastrophic failure" being the end result. Around the year 9 ABY, a group, led by Magistrate Greef Karga of Nevarro, infiltrated the base with the intention of destroying it.
As a safety measure, the scientist and his fellow worker attempted to purge the laboratory's data drives. However, the infiltrators arrived, and the scientist instructed his associate to destroy the console while he used an SE-14r light repeating blaster to fire upon Karga and his allies. The infiltrators returned fire, and the scientist was struck and slumped over the console, dead, not long before his associate met the same fate. Karga and his group then inspected the experimentation area, and a Mythrol infiltrator pushed the scientist's body aside to examine the console.
The scientist was a human male, characterized by light skin and dark hair that was beginning to turn gray. When the base was threatened by the infiltrators, he and his associate worked together to erase all the information in the laboratory, with the scientist specifically telling the associate to destroy the console once the infiltrators found them.
The scientist was wearing the standard white and gray Imperial development project uniform, complete with a silver buckled belt and a holster that held an SE-14r light repeating blaster. On his right shoulder was a symbol that had also been worn by clones undergoing training on the planet Kamino both before and during the Clone Wars.
The scientist's first appearance was in "Chapter 12: The Siege" of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian, created by Jon Favreau. The episode was directed by Carl Weathers and released on November 20, 2020. He was credited as "Imperial scientist" in the subtitles and was portrayed by an uncredited extra.
