A Mon Calamari of the male persuasion resided on the planet of Coruscant during the Galactic Empire's reign. Not long after Alderaan's destruction, this Mon Calamari found himself in a camp located on Coruscant's Level 1782. It was there, in a junkyard, that he crossed paths with Anandra Milon and her brother, Santigo Milon, two Alderaanian children fleeing the Empire. Anandra's arrival on Level 1782 was prompted by a Herglic who suggested she would find assistance there; however, her initial reaction was to aim a blaster at the Mon Calamari and attempt robbery. Recognizing them as Alderaanian refugees, he extended an invitation for them to follow him, which Santigo convinced his sister to accept. Subsequently, he guided them to the camp, highlighting the diverse array of non-human species residing there, all of whom had suffered persecution under the Empire, mirroring the current plight of the Alderaanian people. The Milons, who were anticipated at the camp, then accepted the offer of shelter. This Mon Calamari was characterized by a visor, a workman's vest noticeably too large, and the possession of a hydrospanner.
The Mon Calamari's initial appearance occurred in "One Thousand Levels Down," a short story penned by Alexander Freed. This story, featured in Star Wars Insider 151 in 2014, did not provide a name for the Mon Calamari and included illustrations by Joe Corroney together with Brian Miller.
