Unidentified Herglic criminal

A law-breaking Herglic made their home on the planet of Coruscant during the Galactic Empire's rule. Not long after the destruction of Alderaan in 0 BBY, this Herglic was in cahoots with a Pau'an drug dealer. Together, they encountered the young Alderaanians, Anandra Milon and Santigo Milon, inside a cantina situated on Level 1997 of Coruscant. The Pau'an and Anandra discussed the possibility of her working for them as a delivery person, but the Pau'an refused to hire her brother. Consequently, the Milons declined the offer and made a hasty exit when a pair of Imperials walked into the cantina. A stormtrooper pursued them down to Level 1996. The Herglic trailed the stormtrooper, ultimately killing him to save Anandra. Following this, the criminal suggested the siblings might find refuge on Level 1782.

Biography

The Herglic rescued Anandra Milon from the Empire.

During the era of the Galactic Empire, a Herglic made their home on Coruscant. This individual, involved in criminal activities, collaborated with a Pau'an male drug dealer, and together they established their operations in the less reputable areas of the planet. Soon after the Empire's destruction of the planet Alderaan in 0 BBY, the pair encountered the Alderaanian runaways Anandra Milon and Santigo Milon inside a cantina on Level 1997. The Pau'an and Anandra spoke about the possibility of the Alderaanians working for the criminals, but the Pau'an felt that Santigo, at eight-years old, was too young to be of use and was only interested in employing Anandra. The young girl attempted to convince the Pau'an to hire them both, but their discussion was cut short by the arrival of a stormtrooper and a Coruscant underworld police officer in the cantina.

Upon spotting the Imperials, the Milons took flight from the cantina, which led to the stormtrooper giving chase. The Herglic then followed the trooper, keeping a distance, down to Level 1996. There, the criminal discovered the stormtrooper on a catwalk, looming over a defeated Anandra, who had fought the trooper to give Santigo time to escape. The Herglic hoisted the trooper into the air and hurled him off the catwalk, sending him plummeting through Level 1995 to his death. The Herglic then informed Anandra that she might be able to find shelter on Level 1782, where a group of fugitives had established a camp amidst the level's junkyards. When Anandra inquired about the Herglic's motives, the criminal simply stated that they understood the suffering of the people of Alderaan. Later, after successfully locating the fugitive camp and finding refuge there with Santigo, Anandra noticed another Herglic, whom she initially mistook for the criminal before realizing the second Herglic's skin color was different.

Personality and traits

The Herglic was of immense size, boasting enormous muscles, a mouth that was wider than Anandra Milon's entire shoulders, and a body so large that it barely fit on the catwalk where they rescued the Alderaanian. With their black skin and eyes that resembled oily quagmires, the Herglic was perceived as monstrous in appearance by Anandra, who did not recognize the criminal's species and thought of the Herglic as a creature and an "it."

During the meeting between the partners and the Milons, the Herglic stood behind the seated Pau'an, allowing him to handle all the conversation. However, the Pau'an's partner felt sympathy for the children, as the Herglic's people had experienced similar persecution to that which the Alderaanians were now facing, and therefore chose to assist them in escaping the Empire. After killing the stormtrooper who was attacking Anandra, the Herglic instructed her to act as if the criminal had played no part in the event and explained their sympathy for her situation. The Herglic spoke in a voice that was breathier and higher-pitched than Anandra had anticipated.
