Herglic


The Herglics were a species of sizable, sentient aliens characterized by black skin, a sizable mouth, glistening eyes, and a dorsal blowhole. Due to the oppressive actions of the Galactic Empire, many sought sanctuary on Level 1782 of Coruscant, where one heroically saved Anandra Milon from a stormtrooper. Furthermore, the Herglic named Qensog furnished Rebel Alliance escapees with navigational data to the rebel flagship, Home One.

Biology and appearance

Herglics were a sentient species distinguished by their [dark](/article/color], shiny skin and slick eyes. They possessed a large head, lacking both a neck and chin, along with a wide mouth filled with small, jagged teeth. Additionally, Herglics had shoulders composed of cartilage and a blowhole located on their head.

Following the rise of Sheev Palpatine's Galactic Empire, the Herglic people experienced persecution under the new government. On Coruscant, the capital world of the Empire, numerous Herglics, along with many other non-humans, found shelter within the vast junkyard known as Level 1782. One Herglic was captured by Trandoshan slavers and subsequently sold to the [Xonti Brothers](/article/xonti_brothers], who intended to train him as a gladiator. Sadly, this Herglic perished during training.

Not long after the destruction of Alderaan in 0 BBY, a Herglic criminal bravely eliminated a stormtrooper to liberate Anandra Milon on Level 1997, implying that the fugitive might find refuge on Level 1782. The Herglic Qensog, a contact of the informant Bodo Linx, furnished several Rebel Alliance refugees with the necessary coordinates to reach the MC80A Star Cruiser Home One, located within the Kaliida Nebula. By 4 ABY, the Herglic named Gor-kooda was employed by the Sullustan crime lord Surat Nuat and his gang on the planet Akiva. He accompanied his boss to a shop in pursuit of stolen goods. After eventually apprehending the shop's owner, Temmin Wexley, the Herglic escorted him to Nuat. However, while leading him to a cistern, they were ambushed by Sinjir Rath Velus and Jas Emari, who successfully escaped with the boy.
