A male human was a scrumrat, a low-ranking member, within the White Worms criminal syndicate operating on the planet Corellia in the Core Worlds. The boy was once set upon by older members of the group. This event was witnessed by fellow scrumrats Han and Qi'ra, and Han intervened to protect the scrumrat, nearly getting killed in the process, until Lady Proxima's goons, the leader of the White Worms, stepped in.
Princess Leia Organa learned about this incident in 3 ABY from Qi'ra, who by then was the head of the Crimson Dawn criminal organization. Qi'ra shared the story during a meeting aboard Han's freighter, the Millennium Falcon, with Han, now known as Han Solo, being the subject of their discussion. A year later, following Organa and Solo's marriage and during their honeymoon, she recounted the meeting with Qi'ra and the story of the scrumrat, prompting a brief reflection from Solo.

On the planet of Corellia, situated within the Core Worlds, a male human was a scrumrat within the ranks of the White Worms criminal enterprise. Sometime between 24 BBY and 13 BBY, the young scrumrat found himself the target of a gang assault by older members. Fellow scrumrats and romantically involved individuals, Qi'ra and Han, came to the boy's aid. Han intervened, attempting to fight off the older aggressors, while Qi'ra comforted the boy with a hug. However, Han nearly faced death during this intervention, only to be saved by the timely arrival of enforcers working for Lady Proxima, the leader of the White Worms.
Subsequent to the incident, Qi'ra, puzzled by Han's willingness to defend the boy despite the lack of any personal gain, questioned his motives, especially considering the potential for fatal consequences. Han explained that such actions were necessary, as no one would offer assistance without expecting something in return. He acknowledged that this was the reality on Corellia but suggested that, for a few minutes, the situation could be different for the boy. Han concluded by expressing the hope that things did not always have to be that way.

In the year 3 ABY, Princess Leia Organa had a meeting with Qi'ra, who had risen to the position of leader of the Crimson Dawn criminal organization. The purpose of their meeting was to discuss Han, now known as Han Solo. The meeting took place aboard Solo's personal freighter, the Millennium Falcon. During their conversation, Qi'ra expressed her belief that had she and Solo remained together, he would have followed a much darker path than the person she knew he could become, a possibility now thanks to his relationship with the princess.
When Organa inquired further, Qi'ra recounted the story of Solo's intervention to save the scrumrat. Qi'ra speculated that the older kids attacked the boy as a way to inflict their own pain on someone else. After she finished the story, the princess questioned Qi'ra's motives for sharing it, stating that she already knew Solo possessed goodness within him. Before departing, Organa asked Qi'ra if the story was true, but Qi'ra ignored the question and simply told her that they would meet again.
A year later, while on their honeymoon aboard the Star Cruiser Halcyon, Organa brought up her meeting with Qi'ra to Solo, mentioning that Qi'ra had told her a story about him. When Solo expressed concern, the princess assured him that it was a good story, which Solo doubted. Organa then reminded Solo of the incident with the scrumrat, and when she told him that Qi'ra had portrayed Solo as a fool for helping the kid, he agreed with her assessment. Following this, Solo briefly reflected on the incident and the subsequent discussion he had with Qi'ra, noting that while Qi'ra may have cared for him, she had not intervened when she witnessed the boy being beaten. Organa then told Solo that he had made a difference to the boy, which he considered, noting that it was a nice sentiment at least.
The boy's attire consisted of clothing in a gray hue.
The initial depiction of the scrumrat occurred in flashback sequences within the eighteenth issue of the 2020 comic series titled Star Wars. This particular issue was penned by Charles Soule, with illustrations by Ramon Rosanas, and was released by Marvel Comics on November 3, 2021.
