A subtropical moon existed as a component of the Oseon Belt within the Oseon system, situated in the Centrality region of the Outer Rim Territories. By 10 BBY, the gambler known as Lando Calrissian had secured possession of the moon through a card game victory, though he would later assert that this acquisition led to monetary difficulties for him. During that year, Calrissian sported a cape crafted by a tailor who resided on the moon.
Within the Centrality region, a subtropical moon was part of the Oseon Belt, which itself was a component of the Oseon system. The moon was located in both the Outer Rim Territories and the Slice regions. The moon, along with the rest of its star system, was positioned at grid square T-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid, along a hyperspace route that provided a connection to Junkfort Station and Marleyvane. The Sanity Skip was another route that linked the Oseon system with the Kessel system.

The gambler, Lando Calrissian, relished the fact that he had obtained ownership of the moon by 10 BBY through a card game. Calrissian mentioned that year how he had won the moon in a game of sabacc against the thief, Han Solo, at the Lodge, a saloon located on the planet Vandor. The former also stated that possessing the satellite eventually caused him significant financial hardship. Later that same year, during a sabacc game at a bar within a jungle outpost on Numidian Prime, Calrissian wore a cape that was custom-designed by a tailor from the Oseon Belt moon.
The film Solo: A Star Wars Story, a part of the Star Wars Anthology Series, was the first time the subtropical moon was referenced, having been released on May 25, 2018. The Expanded Edition novelization and the A Junior Novel novelization of the film, which were released on September 4 and September 6 of the same year respectively, both contained a line of dialogue between Lando Calrissian and Han Solo regarding the moon that was not included in the film itself.
