Unidentified Twi'lek Sith

This Sith, who belonged to the Twi'lek species and was male, served as a member within the One Sith organization during the Sith–Imperial War. This conflict involved a collaboration between the One Sith and Roan Fel's Galactic Empire, with the shared objective of eradicating the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. In the year 130 ABY, Darth Krayt, the leader of the One Sith, assembled a substantial army composed of numerous Sith Lords to launch an assault on the Ossus Jedi Academy. Their intention was to purge the academy of Jedi, and they were supported by a contingent of Imperial troops. During the ensuing battle, the Jedi Grand Master, Kol Skywalker, valiantly defended a shuttle carrying fleeing Younglings under his protection, single-handedly killing many of the opposing combatants, including this particular Twi'lek.

Biography

This male Twi'lek became a part of the One Sith and underwent training, eventually receiving full-body Sith tattoos. This likely occurred during or before the Sith–Imperial War, which was a joint undertaking by the Sith and the Fel Empire aimed at taking galactic control from the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. As a consequence of this war, a significant portion of the Alliance was absorbed into the Empire, and the New Jedi Order was compelled to go into exile on the Outer Rim world of Ossus, as they refused to support a government aligned with the Sith. The Twi'lek was selected to join a army of Sith Lords created to assault the Jedi Temple on Ossus, which represented the last major Jedi stronghold in the galaxy.

Darth Nihl, Krayt's Hand, was given command of the operation, which quickly led to a siege of the Ossus Jedi Temple. The Twi'lek Sith was among those who breached the Temple's defenses, engaging in combat to eliminate the Jedi. The Sith army killed half of the Jedi present, scattering the survivors across the galaxy, and also eliminated a substantial number of Yuuzhan Vong shapers who were dedicated to an experimental Vong terraforming project.

One group that was forced to evacuate during the battle included Younglings led by Grand Master Kol Skywalker, Jedi Master Wolf Sazen, and their respective Padawans. The two Jedi Masters instructed their students, Shado Vao and Cade Skywalker, to escort the children to safety aboard a shuttle to escape the Temple. After Sazen sustained injuries and was brought aboard the shuttle, Kol remained behind to provide them with time to take off. He eliminated numerous enemy soldiers, including this Twi'lek, whose sword arm was severed near the elbow by the Jedi leader. Shortly after the shuttle's departure, Kol was killed by Nihl, and his body came to rest near the corpse of this Sith. This massacre marked the official conclusion of the Sith–Imperial War and the commencement of a Jedi Purge.

Personality and traits

This Sith, who was a red-skinned Twi'lek male, was a member of the One Sith Order under the leadership of Darth Krayt. He wielded a red lightsaber during his confrontation with Kol Skywalker on Ossus. His skills with a lightsaber, as well as his abilities with the Force (if any), were not sufficient for him to survive an encounter with the Grand Master of the New Jedi Order. Yuuzhan Vong Master Shaper Nei Rin considered Kol Skywalker to be the Jedi Order's greatest warrior. The Twi'lek bore black Sith tattoos across his body, indicating that he was a fully-trained member of the One Sith, and he wore armor to protect his torso in battle.

Behind the scenes

The death of this Sith

The Twi'lek Sith made his appearance in the first issue of the Star Wars: Legacy comic book series. He met his end in the same panel where he was first introduced, although his head was later depicted alongside Kol Skywalker's lifeless body.

This Twi'lek exhibited the red skin pigmentation typically associated with Lethan Twi'leks. However, it remains unconfirmed whether he belonged to this specific race, as the One Sith Order tattooed its fully trained members with red skin and black designs. Two other Twi'lek Sith, namely Darth Ruyn and Darth Talon, also shared this distinctive coloring.

This character's death sequence provides another instance of blood resulting from a lightsaber wound. When lightsabers make contact with flesh, they instantly cauterize the wound, preventing blood from escaping the victim's body. The first occurrence of this was observed in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope when Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi in hiding after the rise of the first Galactic Empire, severed the arm of a smuggler named Ponda Baba in Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina.
