Zone six was a portion of the asteroid field encompassing the planet of Bothawui, situated in the Mid Rim. It was directly adjacent to zone five. During the Battle of Bothawui, a significant conflict within the Clone Wars fought between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic in 22 BBY, General Grievous navigated his Confederate fleet, consisting of Munificent-class star frigates, through zone six. His objective was to engage Jedi General Anakin Skywalker's task force of Venator-class Star Destroyers. Onboard Skywalker's flagship, the Resolute, a clone trooper reported the Separatist fleet's advance, while Resolute command monitored the approaching enemy on their displays. Unbeknownst to Grievous, Skywalker intentionally allowed the frigates to proceed through zone six, knowing this would position the starships to be ambushed by All Terrain Tactical Enforcers concealed on nearby asteroids.
The depiction of zone six was shown on a screen within the Resolute during the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season One episode titled "Downfall of a Droid," which was initially broadcast on November 7, 2008. In this particular episode, a potential continuity inconsistency arises when a Republic monitor portrays the Separatist fleet as being further back in the asteroid field than their actual location. When the clone trooper announces that the enemy is entering zone six, the monitor displays the fleet as just beginning to penetrate the field. However, Grievous's fleet had already started to move through the asteroids at that point. In fact, an earlier scene features a screen observed by Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano showing the fleet passing what the clone referred to as zone six.
