Revan Legion
The Revan Legion, also known as the 3rd, was a military formation consisting of five thousand Sith troopers. This legion belonged to the Sith Eternal, a dark side Sith cult that operated during the conflict between the First Order and the Resistance. The legion's existence concluded with the annihilation of the Sith forces at the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY. The significance of the legion's name, referencing the ancient Sith Lord Revan, was understood only by the cultists of the Sith Eternal, as this historical detail was concealed from the rest of the galaxy.
Description
The 3rd Legion, identified as the Revan Legion, was a component of the Sith Eternal's military forces, operating from the Sith throneworld of Exegol in the Unknown Regions. This legion was composed of five thousand Sith troopers and Sith Jetpack Troopers—soldiers who originated from the offspring of Sith cultists, former members of the Imperials, and children forcibly recruited into the First Order ranks because of their potential. The Revan Legion was organized into squadrons consisting of ten soldiers each, comprising both standard Sith infantry and aerial troopers.
Each Sith Eternal legion was assigned a numerical designation and named after an ancient Sith Lord; in this instance, the 3rd Legion was named after Revan. The meaning behind these names was known only to members of the Sith Eternal, a dark side cult, as the information was kept secret from the rest of the galaxy. As the Revan Legion was made up of Sith troopers, these soldiers wore crimson red Sith trooper armor and were typically armed with either ST-W48 blaster rifles or FWMB-10B repeating blasters. Sith Jetpack Troopers, on the other hand, were equipped with NJP-900 integrated jetpacks and F-11ABA heavy blaster cannons.
History
The Revan Legion saw action during the war between the First Order and the Resistance, which spanned from 34 ABY to 35 ABY. The Sith Eternal met their final defeat during the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY. In this battle, a combined force of the Resistance and a Citizens' Fleet from across the galaxy triumphed over Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious and his entire military forces, which included the Revan Legion.
