In 19 ABY, Commandant Gimald Nuruodo of the Syndic Mitth'raw'nuruodo training academy located on the Unknown Regions planet Rhigar gave a formal nod to Empire of the Hand Commander Kres'ten'tarthi, core name "Stent," that, according to Human cadet Jagged Fel, was appropriate for the Chiss Senate.

By 25 ABY, the Chiss Senate was described in The University of Sanbra Guide to Intelligent Life, a book published by the University of Sanbra and written by the sentientologist Tem Eliss. In 27 ABY, Baron Soontir Fel of the Empire of the Hand, who was stationed at the secret Cherith base on an inhospitable world, reminded his son, Colonel Jagged Fel that the Chiss Senate did not agree with him on whether the Yuuzhan Vong invasion would affect the Chiss and Imperial territories in the Unknown Regions. In disbelief, Jagged derided the Chiss senators as "tradition-bound" and Imperial politicians as concerned with "personal power" and that Syndic Mitth'raw'nuruodo's Household Phalanx was never aligned with their ideas.
