Attico Wred was a Rebel pilot who fought for the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War; he was a male human. Wred previously served the Galactic Empire as a TIE pilot, but he switched allegiances to the rebellion when he refused to fire on a defenceless civilian spacecraft. During the battle of Scarif, he served as Green Four within Green Squadron.
Attico Wred used to be a TIE fighter pilot working for the Galactic Empire. The turning point came when he received orders to destroy an unarmed civilian vessel. Wred, unwilling to murder innocent people, realized the evil of the Empire and chose to defect to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. As a lieutenant, he became Green Four in Green Squadron. He developed a contentious relationship with Nozzo Naytaan, another Rebel pilot known as Red Nine in Red Squadron.
Before the events of 0 BBY, Wred was assigned to Shift Cycle 3 of an X-wing patrol mission with fellow pilot Lieutenant Wion Dillems (Green Twelve). Their task involved flying from Yavin to the Gordian Trace Relays, conducting a visual sweep of the nearby space, and then, after confirming everything was clear via visual and sensor readings, performing a close uplink of passive relay recordings.
In 0 BBY, he was seen walking through a hangar in the Great Temple on Yavin 4 alongside another pilot. They passed Alliance Intelligence agent Cassian Andor and the criminal Jyn Erso as they were leaving the temple to board a UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft. Later on, Wred participated in the assault on Scarif, where his squadron's primary objective was to fight the Imperial starships positioned above the Shield Gate.
The design of Wred's helmet bears a resemblance to Nozzo Naytaan's helmet as seen in the movie. Both helmets share a design similar to Luke Skywalker's blast shield helmet from A New Hope and Dorovio Bold's helmet in Return of the Jedi, as well as Darnell Reggs' helmet from the Star Wars Legends video game Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire.
