Automated weapon mounting

Sophisticated pseudocybernetics enabled users of automated weapon mountings to operate a hand-held weapon without needing to use their hands. While shoulder-mounted designs were the most prevalent, certain versions featured jointed limbs. Activation of these mountings could be achieved through voice commands or a neural interface. Commonly priced around 3,000 credits, they found frequent use among special forces, bounty hunters, combat engineers, and demolition experts. Some well-known models include the Mitrinomon Transports "Quicker Draw" Hands-Free Trigger and the Neuro-Saav Technologies Mk II Self-Defense Harness. During the Bothan-Five incident in 9 ABY, the Human mercenary known as Migs Mayfeld utilized an automated weapon mounting.
