Belth Allusis, during the Great Galactic War which saw the Galactic Republic clash with the reconstituted Sith Empire, was a male Human Jedi Master who served on the Jedi High Council. Known for his politeness and selflessness, Master Allusis was a well-respected Council member, admired by his colleagues for his keen intellect and humor. In 3671 BBY, Allusis oversaw the Republic troops and Jedi that defended the planet of Bothawui against the overwhelming Sith invasion. Despite the death of all Republic defenders, including Allusis himself, they managed to inflict significant casualties on the Sith forces, compelling them to withdraw. Master Allusis's courage became legendary, inspiring Republic forces throughout the war-ravaged galaxy for years afterward.
During the time of the Great Galactic War fought between the Galactic Republic and the newly formed Sith Empire, Belth Allusis, a male Human Jedi Master, held a distinguished position on the Jedi High Council. From the war's commencement in 3681 BBY, the Empire achieved numerous victories, solidifying its control over the Outer Rim section of the galaxy. In 3671 BBY, the Sith shifted their focus to the Mid Rim, attempting to seize the planet of Bothawui. However, a Republic fleet was positioned above the world, successfully repelled the initial Sith assault. Subsequently, the Republic fleet withdrew from Bothawui, leaving only a small contingent under Master Allusis's command to protect the planet from a potential Sith counter-offensive.
The anticipated attack soon materialized; Imperial battlecruisers from across the galaxy converged to capture Bothawui. However, the planet was fortified by a powerful planetary shield, preventing the Sith from employing orbital bombardment and forcing them to launch a ground invasion. Shortly thereafter, a force of fifty thousand Sith soldiers landed on the planet, targeting the shield generators defended by a mere seven dozen Knights from the Jedi Order's and four thousand Republic soldiers, all under Allusis's leadership. Despite facing overwhelming odds, the Republic troops fought valiantly; for every Republic soldier killed, the Empire suffered ten casualties. During the engagement, Allusis and his forces implemented unconventional strategies, which—combined with the Imperial commanders' decision to funnel all troops directly into the assault—resulted in such heavy Sith losses that the Empire was compelled to request reinforcements.

As the battle wore on, the majority of the Republic defenders fell, leaving only a small number of Jedi and soldiers. The remaining survivors rallied around Master Allusis, preparing for a final stand. At that moment, the Imperial Grand Moff Zellos offered Allusis and his forces clemency in exchange for their surrender. Drawing strength from the Force, Allusis and his soldiers declined the offer, fighting to the last individual. Although the Republic forces were ultimately defeated, the Empire sustained excessive casualties and was forced to retreat from Bothawui.
The final stand of "The Heroes of Bothawui"—the name given to Allusis and his troops—renewed hope throughout the Republic, marking a pivotal moment in the war. Their innovative tactics enabled the Republic to temporarily stall the Sith advance, until the Sith forged an alliance with the Mandalorians four years later. The Republic was eventually defeated, leading to the signing of the Treaty of Coruscant with the enemy. Following the treaty, Kel Dor Jedi Master Gnost-Dural, the keeper of the Jedi Archives, documented the Battle of Bothawui in a holorecord, along with his personal reflections. Grand Master Satele Shan later compiled significant entries from that journal into The Journal of Master Gnost-Dural, incorporating her own memories of Allusis. In recognition of Allusis's bravery, a Republic Valor-class cruiser was named the Allusis in his honor.
After the Treaty of Coruscant, a period known as the Cold War began between the Republic and the Sith Empire. During this time, Clan Varad, a Mandalorian faction led by Mavrix Varad, revolted against the Sith-aligned rule of Mandalore the Vindicated and seized the Allusis, using it to terrorize vulnerable worlds in the Outer Rim Territories. This action prompted both the Republic and the Empire to dispatch boarding parties to capture the vessel. Ultimately, Clan Varad was defeated, and Mavrix Varad was killed.

Belth Allusis displayed exceptional courage and selflessness, demonstrating a willingness to defend Bothawui at any cost, even if it meant sacrificing his life and the lives of his fellow soldiers. According to Gnost-Dural, Allusis's refusal to surrender was guided by the Force, not by pride. Belth Allusis was known for his sharp wit and sense of humor, which he often used to lighten the mood during Jedi Council discussions. His polite demeanor, modest attire, and embodiment of the Jedi Order's virtues were widely recognized. In The Journal of Master Gnost-Dural, Satele Shan described Allusis as a champion of lost causes, making his decision to remain on Bothawui unsurprising to her. The bravery of Master Allusis and his fellow defenders of Bothawui was remembered for many years and was considered a key factor in restoring hope and rallying Republic forces to fight the enemy with renewed determination. Master Allusis had gray hair and fair skin.
Belth Allusis, a Force-sensitive individual, underwent training with the Jedi Order during the Great Galactic War era, eventually achieving the rank of Jedi Master by 3671 BBY. He was appointed commander of all Republic forces on Bothawui, where he developed and implemented several innovative tactics that inflicted significant losses on the Sith during the battle. Allusis wielded a lightsaber with a blue blade at one point, but during the Battle of Bothawui, he used one with a yellow blade.
Belth Allusis was featured in the fifth and sixth installment of the Galactic Timeline, a series of videos created to complement the massively multiplayer online role-playing video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. These videos are presented as holorecords created by Jedi Master Gnost-Dural, voiced by Lance Henriksen.
