Bog Divinian, who Keets Freely gave the moniker Bantha Bog, was a male Human senator representing [Nuralee] from 26 BBY to 24 BBY in the Galactic Republic. He later aligned himself with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars, and subsequently became the Imperial governor of the Leemurtoo system.
At the time he married Astri Oddo, Divinian was a homesteader residing in the Outer Rim. As the spouse of Astri Oddo and the father of Lune Oddo Divinian, he secured election to the Galactic Senate with support from the Commerce Guild. In return for their backing, he suppressed information regarding their involvement in a scandal on Euceron. On Euceron, Divinian was on the Games Council for the Galactic Games of 26 BBY, where he started as an oblivious figure, but later became a knowing participant. He refused to testify against high-profile Council members when a Jedi team requested him to, and instead participated in a conspiracy with the Commerce Guild to discredit respected Senators for wealth and power.
It was observed that Bog did not approve of podracing; this may have simply been a continuation of his earlier behavior as a compliant individual, affirming the hypocritical stance of the Games Council leadership regarding the unsavory "illegalities" of the sport, in which they were secretly involved. Ultimately, Divinian's failure to disclose the truth about the Games scandal transformed the power-hungry bureaucrat into a criminal accomplice alongside his fellow Council members.
Now entangled in prejudice and political corruption, Divinian later joined Sano Sauro's anti-Jedi faction, vocally denouncing the Jedi and engaging in heated debates with Bail Organa in the Senate Hearing Chamber regarding Senate support for the Jedi. However, his proposals were rejected after the Jedi thwarted Granta Omega's violent attempt to assassinate Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and thousands of Senators and their advisors in the Senate Rotunda.
At some point during the Clone Wars, Divinian chose to support the Confederacy of Independent Systems. His role and authority during this period remain unknown.
By 18 BBY, Divinian had attained the position of Imperial Advisor. Based on the desert planet Samaria, he oversaw Ferus Olin's efforts to find the saboteur within the planet's computer system. Following Samaria's occupation by the Empire, Divinian was appointed governor of the Leemurtoo system, which included both Samaria and Rosha. Later that year, Divinian fully enrolled Lune in the Coruscant Naval Academy. When the instructor, Maggis, summoned him for a meeting later that year, Maggis informed Divinian that eight-year-old Lune had been selected for a classified project. Despite his reservations, Divinian permitted his son to be taken away. Unbeknownst to him, Lune would become a subject in scientist Jenna Zan Arbor's experimental memory drug research.
