History

Galactic Games

Euceron was infamous for its network of smugglers and illicit operations. The Galactic Games of 26 BBY were staged on the planet, specifically in its capital, Eusebus. The humanoid inhabitants of this world were also known as Euceron.

The Ruling Power, which governed Euceron, felt it lacked appropriate representation within the Galactic Senate. Consequently, the government used the Galactic Games as an opportunity to demonstrate its stability, strengthen its influence in the Senate, and gain membership on crucial committees.

During the Games of 26 BBY, prior to the Clone Wars, [Anakin Skywalker](/article/anakin_skywalker-legends], then a 14-year-old Jedi Padawan, secured the freedom of Djulla Tyerell (the sister of Deland and Doby Tyerell, who was enslaved by the Dug Sebulba, father of podracer Hekula). He accomplished this by winning a celebrated, albeit illegal, podrace, which involved rigging and sabotage by influential members of the Council of the Games.

Maxo Vista, a local Euceronian athlete, Games Council member, and the five-time champion of the 33 BBY Games, was later exposed for his involvement in conspiring to rig the race. He was subsequently summoned before the Ruling Power. The race took place in the Great Dordon Caves. Furthermore, had Liviani Sarno, head of the Games Council, and Vista fully succeeded in their sabotage attempts, the podrace could have resulted in numerous spectator fatalities. Despite their involvement, Sarno and Vista were eventually released from custody because the Jedi could not produce essential witnesses. Bog Divinian refused to testify, while the others were either deceased (the murdered "timing judge" Aarno Dering) or had escaped the planet (the information brokers Fligh and Didi Oddo).

Clone Wars

During the Clone Wars era, the Jedi High Council dispatched Jedi Master Tholme to Euceron to help resolve a conflict.
